The second quarter of 2024 saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 navigation and maps apps on iOS in France. Here’s a closer look at their downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Google Maps experienced a consistent increase in downloads, starting at 53.5K in the first week of April and peaking at 80.9K by the end of the month. Downloads slightly fluctuated in May and June, ending the quarter at 79.5K. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, growing from 7.7M to over 8M by the last week of June.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had a mixed performance in downloads, starting at 36.4K in early April and reaching a high of 69.3K in mid-May. The app saw a slight decrease towards the end of June, closing at 51.8K. Weekly active users saw a significant increase in early May, peaking at 4.6M, and ended the quarter at 4.1M.

Google Earth maintained stable download numbers throughout the quarter, averaging around 16K downloads per week. Weekly active users showed minor fluctuations, starting at 99.2K and ending at 97.6K by the last week of June.

Visorando Walking Routes showed strong revenue performance, peaking at $26.7K in the first week of May. Downloads fluctuated, with the highest at 19.8K in the same week. Active users peaked at 37.1K in early May but later decreased to 17.5K by the end of June.

Cartes IGN saw a significant spike in downloads in mid-May, reaching 58.7K. However, downloads dropped to 4.3K by the last week of June. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 54.3K in mid-May and ending at 22.9K.
